I spent the weekend in Vermont at a conference convened by Global Learning Partners of Raleigh North Carolina and Toronto, Canada. Dialogue Education is all about acknowledging the experience in the room, getting the buzz going between people and deepening learning through doing rather than sitting passively.
I occupy the doldrums these days - struggling to emerge from dark cocoon pain, that is current and historic. The people there filled me with hope, faith, laughter, whimsy, charm, stories, inspiration, ideas, passion, reflection and refreshment. What a blast to re-discover the world in the eyes of so many plugged-in people.
I thought I had lost forever my community. Well - Duh! Now I realize that it was just the steering wheel gone missing. If only I'd looked around a bit earlier rather than giving up too soon, I might have saved myself a lot of boo-hooing.
Ok - time to get on with it now. No more fooling around.
Pursue my bliss while digging a tunnel out of the prison I choose to live inside.
